The local unit Bangladesh Awami League (AL) of Narayanganj has not included the name of its leader and incumbent city mayor Selina Hayat Ivy on its list of prospective candidates for the upcoming election in the Narayanganj city corporation.
However, it is confirmed that the high command wants Ivy as its candidate for the upcoming 22 December election.
It is to be noted that Ivy was made vice president of Narayanganj district AL recently
