One year ban: outcome of a dispute with director Rokeya Prachi

Rokeya Prachy lodged a written complaint against Prosun on 19 October about an incident that occurred during the shooting of television play 'Swapno Shotti Hote Pare', directed and produced by Rokeya Prachy.

Three organisations -- Directors Guild, Television Programme Producers Association of Bangladesh and Abhinayshilpi Shangha -- have officially banned actor Prosun Azad for one year based on this written complaint.

The 350-member strong Directors Guild confirmed media houses about Prosun's ban through issuing a press release on Thursday.

The press release was signed by Directors Guild president Gazi Rakayet, Television Programme Producers Association of Bangladesh president Mamunur Rashid and Ahsan Habib Nasim of Abhinayshilpi Shangha.
